The Clinic
Soma Healing Arts is based in a room adjacent to my home in Westdene, Brighton. The clinic overlooks a large, well-established garden with a pond containing goldfish and water lilies. The space is quiet, peaceful, and surrounded by nature, with lots of bird life.
It has a separate entrance and there is free parking on the street out front. You can always have complimentary filtered water and there is access to a toilet.
The room is filled with natural light, making it airy, clean and softly lit. I keep the room warm with central heating and an additional oil-filled radiator. There are plants, crystals and candles to add to the ambience and support healing. During your treatment I may use aromatherapy, and play ambient music or nature sounds.
Your privacy is important and the treatment room is secluded from view. I always step out of the room while you change clothes.
I use both a massage table and a futon for floor work, depending on which treatment you choose. There are plenty of extra blankets or pillows to make you as comfortable as possible, including an eye pillow filled with relaxing herbs.
